[RS-ecology] get the metadata of new cropped raster from Landsat image

What metadata are you looking for exactly?
The metadata  which ship with the product ( .xml or ...MTL.txt file) are 
just additional text files. They are not affected by your cropping of 
the image data and remain valid.
